I guess all the pertinent wording was in the title. Maybe I need to explain...above this box and the pm box is an icon that when you move the cursor over, reads "insert image". How do you use it?
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

Rich, putting attachments in PMs is not permitted.  You can use photobucket and insert an image that way using the insert button in the PM.  However, since attachments are stored on our server, and we dont want anything stored there that we cant control, we dont allow the attaching as in a post.  You can read about it here, http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=21561.40, where I am also a member, the exact reasons.  Not saying anyone here would engage in this kind of activity, but there are over 500 members here, and more joining every day.  If someone, somehow gets around our screening process, and begins using our system for bad things, this site being privately owned, could get me into hot water, and would be shut down.  Not wanting that to happen, I have elected not to allow the attachments to PMs.

The attach image button works with offsite stored images, such as photobucket, and so on.  To be honest, I had forgotten that the button was even on PMs.
