Rubber Foor Covering?

My Custom 300, built in San Jose has carpet but I"m sure its not orignal. I want to replace it and I'm thinking about going with the rubber mat.

The Custom I parted out had carpet in it under the sill plates.  Given the condition of the car (badly rusted) and the sill plates it would not be unreasonable to assume the carpet was original....
