Get a hold of Smurfee I believe that he is using non power brakes on his car. Did you go onto the 2 old sites they are read only but somewhere there was a section on master cyl.

I am using a 76 Granada manual master cylinder on my 36 and it has been there for 20 years (rebuilt a few times) and has passed the NSRA Safety 23 since they sarted the program.

I used a Mustang master cyl. for disc/drum non-power. The nice thing about these is that the lines come out on the drivers side so they don't interfere with the valve covers, and they are a bolt on.

I failed to mention that I used the proportioning valve from the 76 Granada as well.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello
I used a 74 Mavrick non-power front disc, rear drum mst cyl
p/n wag r83746. Fits using 2 of the 4 orig holes.
I used one the other holes to run the stop light wires inside to the new electric switch.

Caution ****
Don't afix the keeper on front of rod until you're positive
it's a good fit. (ie) It won't come back out of the mst cyl once it's in with
the keeper.

The new rod has a flat end vs orig round end.
This allows the use of an elect stop light sw from 65 mustang.
to eliminate the pressure stop switch.
Works like a charm.

I'll find p/n soon & maybe old post of this

Ron

I used a Maverick unit also, mainly because the lines came out on the left (fender) side instead of the right (engine) side. I ended up lengthening the push rod by 1 1/2 inches to get the pedal to hang in the right spot. I also used Granada brakes, and the Granada distrib. block...

Switch is 65 Mustang , electric (Not Pressure)
Mounts on end of brake rod with orig mounting bolt to pedal.
Don't get too tight.....
P/N = SLS69 . Bought it from Bumper to Bumper parts store.
About $3 to $5 (I think)
You must use the brake rod that comes with the 74 Maverick Mst Cyl.
It has a flat end by bolt. This allows sw to close when pedal is moved.
Orig 57 rod end was round.
I'll try to post a picture
Works great. I had my doubts, but just touch brake pedal and sw actuates.
Two wires. I ran them through one of the top empty holes of orig mst cyl mounts.
