I just picked up the new model kit from Revell of the 57 Ford custom. This is a very nice kit and can be built stock or as a 50's drag car. Good detail and a E code 312 motor.

It's a Custom Tudor Sedan.

I lucked out...a local shop here had one left yesterday. On my way home I was thinking the last time I paid in the high twenties for a car model kit, it was a 5-pack of 50's kits! Awesome detail as Tom said. kits have come a long way..I was shocked to see stuff like seperate control arms.
While browsing at the hobby shop, I noticed they carried sheets of real metal foil, including what they called chrome (not too shiney though) similar to leafing foil, but this stuff was self adhesive. I was wondering if anyone had tried using anything like this to replate plastic dash trim components.

I thought I was hardcore, I only ordered 1 case, lol.  I have been waiting on this kit since I first heard rumors of it 3 years ago...

Spent 35 bucks for a resin 300 body 5 years back. You needed to supply the rest to make the model. Its been in capable hands for the build as I got rid of all my old(plastic bone yard)model parts.
