Fantastic!!! That first ride must have put a huge smile on your face. well done!
Jay...LOL...pay no attention to that guy from the land of snow...they don't like white cars cause no one can see 'em coming. Actually, normally I'd agree with Tom on the white, but your car being an E CODE BUSINESS COUPE..one of the few '57's imho that needs to be kept as oem as posible. As I've said before..that car fell into the right hands.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

"How many do you have now? "
I don't have any of them.

"Wadda ya do, give them to your friends for gifts?"
That would be a good idea if I had some.
.
"White shudder sucks!  Show some class, man!  I don't care what the data plate says, that car deserves to be BLACK!"
Tom you are right, black would be best but...  On this car I'm not going to make any changes that can't be  put back to as original in one day.

Rich...Thanks for the kind words. That's the exact reason I don't want to make any changes.
Tom s... When I move to  the land of snow, I'll consider painting it black.

[quote author=Ford Blue blood link Randy Conner did a cool thing with one of his 57s.  He has a 4 speed, column shift and the overdrive cable hooked to the reverse selector.  Pull the overdrive handle and it goes into reverse....[/quote]

That's the exact thing that I did to my 58 Custom with 406 engine.  I worked perfectly for me, but. I  had to put a three speed in it for the guy that bought it because he had a hard time driving it.  I still see it occasionally at local car cruises.

I'm going to have hold off on pictures for just a little bit longer.  I found some old body work on the hood and some pits in the header panel that need some attention.  That's why I only took pictures of the front of the car when I took it out on the first test drive.
This is just the kind of stuff that sets me back on my block sanding and final paint.  I was complaining about never ending block sanding and now I'm going backwards and doing body work.  The guys on the forum that do their own body work have been there and done this before so they know what I'm talking about.
