does any one know about a C4 trans,  other then pulling it out?   thanks    jerry

I have one mated to a 302 in my 'wagon.

I wish I had an AOD for freeway driving, but the AOD was twice the money. At freeway speeds, the motor is in the power band, so the engine is growlin' at 3000+rpms.

The C4 also shifts into 2nd quickly unless you jump on it off the line. At least mine does.

The AOD is in future plans...maybe.

That's what I know about my C4.

Rebuilds on C4's are relatively cheap.... around these parts 300-400 bucks.

i'll give a little up date on what has happened,     after 1 month of not working on my mustang with a C4 trans, which turns out to be a FMX,   i had to ;pull it from this shop,  and towed to another,  which finished the repairs,   i had to contact the state licensing and regulations,  and thats another process,  but they will go after the shop,  and hopefully i'll get some of my money back.    i never knew that u could do that,   in case one of you have problems, remember,  the state will help ya,      jerry
