My Y block has an Iskindarian E4 cam and it does not sound that nice.
There isn't much of a selection of cams for the Y these days. But back when I built my first Y you only had a choice of stock, 3/4, or full race. Remember those days  :003:

3/4 would be cool
That's what I used and it was a reground cam, and was about $35, lasted for years, and that engine powered three different cars over the years. Life was so much easier back then..

Full race and 3/4 make sense to me because that's the way I remember it in the old days and you could see/hear the difference after it was installed.  .  It's the modern stuff that I don't understand.  I don't see much difference with the E4, but then I haven't really driven the car except for two small test drives up and down the street.

If we keep this up much longer people are going to know what relics we are  :old:

OK...I went to the source and asked the guy in the YouTube comment section under the video...

"Badass! All the guys over at the forum on 57fordsforever.com want to know what cam you got in that sleeper beast...do tell! Bitchen car."

Hopefully he answers the mystery cam question soon. Sure doesn't sound like the Y-block in my Dad's 56 T-bird.

As far as I know he just does engine building and testing, racing. I've never seen parts available. There are a few others with Y cams but not like the selection for newer motors.

Don't know about FlowMaster copies, but every FlowMaster equipped car I listen to has a unique sound.

There must be a lot of variables that effect how they sound and what model is used, I like some I hear and some I don't. First thing that came to my mind when thinking copies were Chinese Flowmasters, what next  :003:

LOL.....I guess I need to hook up a set of quality speakers to my computer rather than just using the built in monitor speaker.....all cars I try to listen to on the videos make me want to rip out my hearing aid.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe
