Don't know the difference between small block and big block carbs. These are AU and AV carbs.

I love the old FE tri-powers, did it come with the air cleaner and fuel log? I wish I hadn't sold mine at times. I noticed the center carb has a fitting in the vacuum port, hard telling what it was used for over the years but the 390/406 had a dual point non vacuum advance distributor.

vacuum fitting surprised me also. Maybe a different metering block was used. biggest problem is no kickdown provisions for auto trans.

You can plug the port just like the outer two. HP390, 406 never came with auto trans so there is no factory linkage available.

That was why this guy got rid of the tri power setup. couldn't stand manually shifting his automatic. Now to find those galaxie buckets and console.

Nice score. What swap meet? I was at the Decatur meet yesterday.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

Nice find. There was one factory tri power manifold with provisions for the kick down linkage  it was on the Tbird. In the late 60s ford did have a over the counter trans kick down set up for that manifold , they are hard to find today. You can use lokar cables for the kick down and they look good and work good.
