Heater control knobs

Before I break them can anyone tell me how to remove the little black knobs from my heater controls and fan switch ? Do they pull or twist off ?

Look closely before pulling, seems I recall one of them has a set screw in it. Maybe the head light pull.

Headlight switch has a button on the bottom side that you have to push to extract the knob and shaft. Set screw is in the wiper switch knob. My question is specific to the little round knobs on the heater controls and the heater fan switch.

From what I remember, I think they are either molded or glued onto the levers.

They should pull straight off, they have a little keeper that holds them on. I just found a couple NOS packages of them in my dad's stuff. I'll try and get a picture of all the pieces up this weekend.
