and wins!
Before he was known as HRD,we knew him as Triple G!(Great Grandma Gordon)But now HotRodDonnie is the name we know and love him at.
aNYHOW,hE WENT TO HIS first car show and he did well.I know he won't post any shots because of his Modesty. His new 57 looked super.
I just thought I would share a few pics of his car.The car showed beautifully and as per usual, the rest of the show sucked donkey balls.
But.. Donnie thought there was going to be stiff competition from some kat in a white 57 custom gasser from Mass.
Apparently he could not make the show at last minute and Donnie was relived and shot to centre stage like an >>>---------->

Congrats to HRD!

Really nice. I'd like to have a less restored one to drag race.
If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went.

That car shows really realy nice! Nice job on getting it ready for the show. I also noticed Donnie managed to get a spot really close to the Hooters booth. Smart man. Nice photos, Jeff...the photo's that were taken from a hight vantage point..ya gotta quit climbin' up on other cars, Jeff.

Jeff, here in the states we remember the late Paul Harvey (you might have heard of him) who never left a good story hanging in the breeze. He always gave us the "rest of the story". It appears to me that since you have outed Triple G that you need to share the story behind that illustrious title. Its the right thing to do.

Your car is absolutely stunning.   I doubt if the kat from Mass.  with the cobbled up gasser would have been much competition to you.  Yours is straight as an >>>---------->.  You do good work, and you deserve winning the trophy.

Jeff
Just because I was nice to Donnie this one time don't expect me to be nice all the time.  I intent to go back to picking on him like I usually do.

Rich,I had to use a Scrub car for a vantage point.I mean, what else are they good for?
Heck, either use them as ladders or Taxi Cabs.

Alright,Well a few years ago a bunch of us went to Beaver Springs P.A. to go to a drag race event(the Jalopy Drags)
It was a guy weekend and Donnie, myself and two other pals  rented a motel room for a fun weekend.Donnie is a very reserved straight shooter that does not drink or smoke and is very responsible. As the rest of us carried on, Donnie became a chaperon of sorts.Having fun but not indulging like the rest of us fools. Our friend Chris came up with "Triple G". Great Grandma Gordon.
As I got to know Donnie more, the name really stuck(of course in very fun way) cause Donnie is VERY a matter of fact,When Donnie has his sights on the straight and narrow and is very very determined, nothing will change his mind.He apples this to his 57 and his car is just like his personality.

I admire HRD for the type of guy he is,a very Straight shooter and very very funny.
