I bought this door a long time ago.  Anyone out there remember anything about this car or that driver?
This is not too important, but I was just wondering.  It was a nice rust free door.

Zapato

go to zabasearch.com and do a search for drivers' name. probably didn't travel too far from home so use nearby states.

Thanks Zap
It's been so long that I don't even remember what state I got it from.  It was found on the internet.  I kinda think that it came from California.  It arrived here by Greyhound bus.. Some people told me not to use it because it might have some history.  I needed a rust free door more than I needed history.  Just happened to find that picture in some old photos today and figured that I'd give it a shot out of curiosity.
I didn't have any luck with sabasearch.com.  Must have done something wrong.      Jay

So is that door on your 57 now?  I see your shop is well organized and spotless like mine    :023:

Yes it's on my car now and it fits the car better than the original door on the other side.  Go figure.  There was just one dent to repair under the word driver.  You can see it in the picture.

The shop is just a little better organised now compared to when that picture was taken.  If you look real hard you will see a small trace of my missing work bench.  Good thing I built the place 40'x60'.    HAHA.    Jay

That is an awesome door. I would have thrown that on my wall. You just don't see any of that ever anymore

I doubt that Lt. Nelson would have been a race car driver in real life because this guy, his Commanding Officer used to come into my restaurant to eat when he was in Mass.   He knew that I liked old cars  and would have told me.
I think that in  real life Lt. Nelson's name was Hewing or something like that and he lived on a farm in Dallas Texas.

I actually held onto it for several years hoping to get one as nice as that one because hanging it on the wall  in the shop is exactly what I wanted to do with it.  It broke my heart to put the sander to it.

LOL...easterners HaHa..The name was Ewing, and out west in Dallas it's a ranch, not a farm....Southfork actually...had to think a while on that one.
That's also why wagons were called Beachwagons back east I would imagine..no ranches there, so a ranchwagon would be useless. lol...."Go see your local Ford dealer for the new Farmwagon"...just wouldn't have cut the mustard.

Everything You want to know about Ford Farmwagons is very easy.
         Go to Technical Diagrams.
         Click on Data plate codes
Scroll down to Farmwagons ... and....and....

Wait a minute.   Your'e not going to fall for that one.  That's the same thing I pulled on HRD a couple of weeks ago when I told  him to find information on Gassers.

Well...   At least the part of my story about Hayden Rork was true.
