A friend of mine recently purchased a 1931 Model A Ford which is Positive Ground.  The car came equipped with two spotlights that were never wired to the car.  These spotlights seem to be from the 1950's and are probably negative ground.  The spotlights are mounted to the windshield posts which will provide a ground.  Is the wiring as simple as finding a hot wire source ?  I am also guessing that the spots are 12v but will work on 6 volts but dim or change the bulbs to 6v.

The lights won't care if it is a + or - ground.  Just need to hook the hot lead to a hot sourse.....and yes it will be very dim unless 6V bulbs are installed.
