After I have the front end aligned, I'm going to have to align the steering wheel ('97 Mustang) in it's correct rotational position. How is it done? Does the disc with the holes at the end of the steering column have anything to do with that? If not what is it for? TIA

the disc with holes is used to tell the computer how fast you are turning.used with power steering pumps that vary the presser.also sometimes used to change the idle speed control

Thanks for that input. How is the steering wheel rotation adjusted so that it's "upright" when driving straight? I can't remember if there is a spline on the steering wheel mount. My lower shafts are a double D, so no rotational alignment there.

Request that the alignment shop center the steering wheel following the alignment.
