I didn't take the trim off of my car, and now that it's time to put it back on I'm totally confused about which retainers to use or where.I need some good clear pictures of what to use where and how . Any help would be great.

I don't have any pics, and actually not sure which ss trim you're talking about. The side mouldings use two types of clips in various sizes determined of course by the width of the moulding at the mounting point. You will not there are round holes and square holes. The two types are the snap-in which generally you'll find are in areas that are not easily accesible for a nut on the inside, and the threaded stud type. The snap-ins use the square holes, the studded use the round holes.
I found all the clips I needed at my local paint supply shop. I prefer the nylon clips for the snap-ins...less chance of scratching paint.
This should be a 2 person job or you're chances of scratching paint increase dramatically.
Remember to use non hardening caulking at all the holes. I like the 3M strip caulk for that.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

So I could find clips at a local paint store? I didn't know the square holes were for snap in clips. That helps, thanks foe that imformation.

Automotive paint/autobody supply store, yes. You can find them on ebay also, but the usual problem there is you'll need to buy a bagful of one size, and your going to need different sizes.
