If I had the space and time, I would be on this like a fat kid on a donut.

looks great. Seller sure could have done a better job with pics and description..is it a RanchWagon(I think) or Del Rio(maybe just trim) mentioned. What's with all the 1932 references all over the page? Confusing with so many references to being a good hauler, but no trailer hitch.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

I'd like that one too. Have room and time but not the $$$$. No bids so far!

boys...., this wagon just looks nice in our imagination. we all just want to have that black Del Rio ( or is it just me? :003:)
but judging from the discription the seller doesn't know too much about 57 Fords, he'd rather sell this to a 1932 Ford guy (= the one who has the big wallet) and the pics are so bad, it could be a 57 Chevy and it would look good ! there are no detail shots, we don't know a thing about the undercarriage and who knows what is hiding underneath that Raven black paint. what about the goofy hydraulic lines across the engine ? the rear cargo area looks used. This really could be a good car, but I doubt a seller that is selling cars and cars in years will let go a cherry wagon for 17k.
Sorry for my disbelief, but I can't help it.

Gunter, I don't think those are hydraulic lines.  I believe they are hard lines for the vacuum to the wiper motor.  It has a Y block, and the fuel pump has the vacuum ports for the wiper, and it looks like that is where they are going to and from.  Looks better than the oem hoses, and lasts longer than the replacement Chinese hoses you get today.  Agreed though, the pictures are low quality, and there are very few shots that show enough of the trouble areas.  Nice car, but not a $17K car.

Old, loud, and fast.

For 17k he could use spell check and a proofreader!

Here's a cheaper one. But I still think its overpriced also.

yes. I think a car like this should really only cost about 4-5k, even though it is a 2dr wgn. we all know by now how much work it is and how much money needs spent to get them back on the road. From my experience I doubt that a 57 will only have rust in the lower tailgate. if it is there, then it is everywhere in the car. ask me how I know... :taz:

I'm always suspicious of primered cars, I much prefer to see original paint with rust, even if the rust appears bad.  My experience with primered cars is that they appear to have had the lower 18 inches carved out of a solid block of bondo.

I'm always suspicious of primered cars,

An old friend (old school body man) told me many years ago never buy a primered car for just the reasons mentioned here.
