trans filter

Hi Guys, My brother is looking for a filter kit for his 57 Ranchero. The only kit I can find is ATP B33. They all say they fit everything but the Ranchero. Is this true? Why would the automatic trans in a Ranchero be different then say a Ranch Wagon? Thanks for any input. Terry

There were two Fordomatic transmissions in 57, a small case and a medium case. I think the filter was the same but the gasket shape was different. I believe the medium case came in heavier cars like the station wagons. Bob

Fatsco Transmission Parts...I've used a couple of their Fordomatic kits.  Called order number and they answered tech questions.  Very pleased.  Cheaper than Northwestern Transmission Parts.

Be sure to adjust the bands while the pan is off.
25k service, bands, filter and fluid (type F) required.
