Maybe Jay A---------------> and his brother bought one of these..... The Mass. cars

WOW Jeff.    Thanks for finding that picture again for me.   I used to have it, but my computer ate it and since I'm computer challenged, I couldn't find it again.  Yes we did buy one just like that and for about another  (as I recall)  $50.00 they fixed  the whip antenna holes and put a nice dark blue paint job on it.  That car came with the alternator rectifier system  that I was referring to on Jim's thread.

Since You did such a nice job ,   I'll let you have this old wooden boat in the background for 1/2 the price that I quoted yesterday.
When  Günter was here, I tried selling it to him also and he didn't want it.

I LOVE your car Jay.

Cool old pics!
Last week I started watching the old Peter Gunn series on Amazon. In the first few episodes they used a '57 and a '58 for police vehicles, but after that they switched everything to mopar.

Marc..I have seen 57 Ad art on 57 Police cars(I may have some on the HD some where.. but I have a 58 Ad....(I collect old AD auto art)

Never seen this trim application before on ANY 57 Ford.... looks 56...am I wrong?.... I dig the Peep mirror.....

    Jeff
That one is a 58 Ford.    That's cool because it was the first  year for the FE and they came with a 3 speed heavy duty Borg Warner transmission.

Marc....Found that 57 Police car art brochure....

You didn't break any laws because those cars came out in late 1957.

Jeff Norwell

Not a 57...but a very neat shot and the best graphic design for a Police dept.I think the dept hired racers only...

Great collection of Police Car Photos.   Randy in Wisconsin has some '57 Ford Police cars.  Some are E-Codes and heavy duty cooling systems.  I suppose a '57 Ford used in all weather would not have made it may years before being rusted away.

Jerry Christenson once told me that Minnesota Highway Patrol had some F-Code Supercharged cars.  Once the blowers acted up, they would remove them and be left with a very low compression engine with an over rich carb, making them very poor pursuit vehicles after that.

Interesting Pat..I wonder what a heavy duty cooling system would consist of?... bigger W/P.. bigger bearing section?.... I am fascinated with the early stuff.
