The blue Canadian Rideau is a nice and rare 50s Cruiser, but Dave's unaccessorized Skyliner looks way better. 57 bodylines are just plain beautiful.

Update on the green and white 57 Fairlane.  It was at the cruise last night and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the owner and his wife are old friends of mine.

That is a very cool situation to run into a new car with old friends as the owners.  I've often thought that one of the best parts of owning and driving these old cars is that you run into new and old acquaintances at various events (cruises and shows) and have the opportunity to share stories of the history of your cars with people with similar interests.

Keep on Cruisin'

All of that is correct especially the similar interest part, especially when it comes to 57 Fords.  It seems like there are very few 57 Fords out and on the road in this neck or the woods.  Whenever possible I give 57 Ford people information on this site and tell them how great it is.  Jay

Hopefully the weather is good this coming Friday as I would like to head over, heck, I might even bring my "other" Ford.  :burnout:
When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!

RICH MUISE

It's been raining alot here too. We did get our downtown Amarillo cruise in last Saturday. Lot of fun and tons of onlookers besides the hunderds of cars in the cruise and parked on the side.
I was heading south a few hundred miles to Vernon for a 2 day cruise/show weekend, but 50% chance of rain, so not sure if I'm going.........probably will anyway as not too much else going on for 2 or 3 weeks after this one in the N Texas area.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

Rich, almost the opposite here, really no rain to speak of except in some isolated areas, and I'm hoping we aren't one of them. It seems like it only hits the occasional Cruise night, lol. Today, an hour north of us in Orleans, got 4.55 inches of rain in an hours time; we didn't get as much as a drop. They still have no power, flooded streets, and houses struck by lightning. Currently, my lawn looks like it should be in a Shredded Wheat commercial, and I live on the water.  bawl

I hope that Jeff Norwell does not see that picture of me wearing his hat and looking  at a 57 Chevy.   It will give him a heart attack.
