Nicely done. Did you add a slosh baffle also?
When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!

Still working on Sniper install.  Waiting on parts to arrive so that I can complete installation.  All of the wiring and engine bay install completed.  Just waiting on some fittings to finish fuel tank.

Great thinking on installing the Tanks Inc "recessed" box upside down!! I used the same box, but in normal recessed position on my sedan tank, and used tank inc's pump as well......38k miles no issues. They make their stuff well. I also used their sending unit, but had to the adapt oem sending unit flange with the twist lock to replace the T Inc's.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

Rich - that box was actually made by my buddy next door.  It is a little deeper than the recessed tanks inc box but close to same design.

I finished sniper install today and will say first impression is big improvement.  Throttle response is crisp and the biggest change is now I can not "feel" the linkage.  The throttle is just smooth overall.

The only complaint I have so far is probably not the sniper's fault.  There is noticeable idle surge as it hunts for a tune to idle.  This is more than likely due to the cam I have installed.  It is a little bit hot.  I had to set idle to 800 RPM to get a good consistent idle.

I think I am declaring this machine driveable at this point!

It turns out, the idle issue is solveable. The problem is that when you are attempting to set the idle, the sniper is fighting you the whole time by compensating with the IAC.  This makes it very difficult to get the idle to run just on the throttle blades.

The simple trick to fix the idle is to:
1. Let engine warm up to 160
2. Hold your thumb over the IAC hole
3. Set the idle using the idle screw to what you setup in the wizard. Better to error a bit low than high.
4. Turn the car off and on again

After figuring that out, I can say this is a pretty nice setup.

I went back and looked at this thread and I saw your comment about your cast iron manifold. Blue Thunder make a single 4 BBL aluminum manifold that uses a breather tube in the original location. It is a high rise dual plane design if painted I doubt few would notice it wasn't stock....

I am looking and so far only see a single 4 for a dominator carb.  Any chance you can tell me where I can find one. I would love to have an aluminum intake with breather tube in it.  That would shave off like 60lbs and not break my back when pulling intake.

Maybe I found one:

That is what I have. H&M wants a bunch of money, try Survival Motor Sports, Carl's Ford Parts, I have seen one on eBay as well.

I like the way you did your tank . I have a question did you have any interference with the floor? I went down with my redo on my tank for clearance.
Thanks

Did mine the same way.

There is a lot of room. I did opt to make a larger hole and cover to allow fuel pump maintenance without dropping tank. They always fail on full tank it seems.
