BayouRoundUp is kicking off tomorrow.  Big day on Sat.  I'm planning on being there, unless something falls off the '57 between now and then.  Maiden voyage.  Weather might be good and cool even.
If you can make it......

Howdy,
Made it downtown Friday evening for registration pickup and informal get together.  Got there a bit late, had to park way down the street.   Got to the main event Sat, ...and back even.  No major malfunctions for either trip, and both being further than a mile from the house.   Not too bad of turnout friday and sat.  Talked to a bunch of people.  BonTemps.
Heres a couple shots of my car in the wild.  Downtown and a couple more from early sat morning.

Congrats! That first drive is always so awesome. Let me know when you're headed my way.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

Yeah, first drive after years of messing with this thing is great.  Taking it to a show for the first real drive (especially after it dumped earlier last week) was a bit nerve racking.  Really didnt want to have to get towed out the park, so I'm glad that didnt happen.

Wow, thx for the pics Eugene. Simply Great !!! such a rare model and the patina is just incredible. I bet you got a lots of 'when are you gonna restore it' from unaware people... :003:
Was so looking forward to see your car out on the road or at a show ! simply love it ! it is gorgeous. I am a huge fan of patina and your car is a pristine example of how well this works, knowing how much efforts you spent into restoring the mechanical things and interior aso.
congratulations !
