No undercarriage, engine compartment or full interior pics.
Nice car, but to be honest...I don't think I would hand over $50k for it. Maybe $30k. If it were fully restored to Concours condition I'd be more inclined to go higher.

If I were buying one I'd be looking for something like this. Minimal rust and even looks like original paint. Price is right also. It is sold though, but cars like this do come up from time to time.

    Just a little curious Rich...
How can they make a claim like that???   Must have been a special odometer.   Was it a special option for 57?

It's a nice car.. but a little high on the price.
I like the on Randy posted.... very nice and a good affordable buy in price.

that would have been THE car ! :001: ( the 6.5k og paint project)
I did watch it when it became available about a year or 2 ago. I believe somebody put a link on here or I found it on Boston cl . never got around to inquiring unfortunately. That was a good price, but I have to add the immense cost of shipping, taxes, toll and customs fees. it would have nearly doubled, before I had it at my door.

Randy, my original intent in starting this topic was exactly about what you stated
Quotecars like this do come up from time to time

I had observed that exactly that type of car did not happen to show up anymore over the past 2 years or so.

I saw a Del Rio 2 years back with a factory Roof rack in Syracuse,... 2 door car.I had to look twice at the link Randy Posted. But the one i saw was in a little better shape.. but all original.... can't remember a price. but it was similar.
I have enough 57's..I just needed to step away.

Maybe I am overly picky...but I think tat one is overpriced too. I would go $5k maybe...but no more.

Perhaps he is slowly pulling his head back out into the real world from the small stinky cave it has been in.
Makes one wonder if he is monitoring this board! LOL!!!
Still...a $30k car..and also still has no engine compartment pics.

engine and under PICs if you expand to the big pictures.

He must have added them on this batch then. I had looked through the big pics before and didn't see much other than the body stuff. I guess I would look harder if the price were more reasonable...but I am not really in  the market right now either. I already have 15 cars to move across the country, I think that is enough. LOL!!!

the red white was bid up to to 33.1k in an open auction, reserve not met.

that highest bid somebody was willing to pay is a long way from the 50k the seller was originally asking.

djfordmanjack

and now it's back at 40.9 buyitnow price. somebody was testing the waters.
