Since the outside, door side fuzzies and the channels originally had 'snaps' and the replacements don't, I epoxy the fuzzies and channels in place rather than snaps or staples.  Epoxy has worked well so far, does scratch the paint and is water tight.  The downside will be when I want to repaint which will mean all new fuzzies and channels.
