I would indeed pay 8 for it. In a heartbeat.

that is a very nice model, and imho- the 1957 4drs had very balanced design, especially the 'Club' Fairlane models with those neat stainless (or chrome) door glass frames. That sounds like a very reasonable price, even if you need to buy some mechanical parts ( fuel pump, battery, brake cyls aso asf) for TLC.
The white color looks great combined with the golden anodized side trim. As you are probably aware of, the interior (seat covers/door panels) is neither original nor the original design, but if you don't mind that, it looks clean and comfortable as is. If you decide that you like the car a lot you can still invest in new uholstery. There is a company (SMS) who sells complete sets of seat covers and door panels and headliners in the original design and material. They are somewhat expensive, but great , original looking, quality.

Coming back to the 4dr topic. I have come to like my 4dr wgn because of the shorter doors and better access to the rear seat. If you live in a city and parking space might be limited in your own garage or at the mall parking lot, the 4 drs make getting in and out much easier. also piling kids, friends or older family members in and out of the car. off topic, but going camping in my 57 4dr wgn, the rear doors make also better access to the sleeping area inside the car. So you get a lot of benifits in a 4dr, including the lower purchase price. Of course, the resale value might be lower than a comparable 2dr model.

That said, you should go get that sweet car and start driving it asap ! :001:

I agree, and in all sincerity, what CAN you buy today for $8K? Seems like a bargain to me.
When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!

Ya that what i was thinking,i could drive it for a long time and still get most of my money back for that price and it is a very clean car!

I would set the price at 12 if it as good as it appears
