Scroll through djfordmanjack's posts in "Project Builds". It is about 6 builds down and 70 pages long. He shows a lot of metal work projects from scratch with a high level of skill and ingenuity.

RICH MUISE

Having an anvil helps, or a length of heavy tubing to form over. Some of the parts I had to make, I made a wooden buck/form for. The wood has to be strong enough of course to withstand some beating with the hammer. Oak is what I used. I use to find wooden pallets made from oak, sometimes a 4x4 for runners!
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

I have seen Fitzee before and he is neat to watch. I will see about some more vids. I have seen some of DJ's build and will have to dig to see if has any pics of where I am going to be working.

hope this helps. Guenther

Here is where I stand so far.
1) The kick panel I believe curves out at the bottom covering the front top of the rocker panel correct?

2) Looking at Guenther's rocker repairs it looks like I can cut out most of the top of the outer rocker panel (the hatched area). If I leave about an inch front, outside, and rear I should not have to brace the body. Is this correct thinking?

If I understand the order correctly it should go like this (for the rockers/floor pans at least):
-The inner rocker fits into the outer rocker panel.
-Then the floor pans sit on top of the inner rocker 'flange'

Am I correct in my order for replacement?

Thanks,

Mike
