Great job. Believe it or not, there will come a time when you'll look back at rust repair and wish you could do it all again!! I sure wish I could.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

That will be in about 10 years. I will have retired and I can pay someone to do it right and quickly.

I used to look at it as a challenge!  To the point now that I'm of the "been there, done that" mind set and don't need to conquer that again!  Besides, the getting up and down, the twisting and contortions and the level of energy no longer compute!

Ford....you are so right! I am only 55 now:( and there were time working on the toe board I was going to bed really really sore. Mainly from the twisting and being on my knees-even with a pad on the ground.

Just grabbed this and it is all there and fits great. I will replace the cups (still pliable) and straps though. Just trying to find out how old it is and who made it.

Almost done with the house and then onto rebuilding the compressor and then back to Betty.......

UPDATE!:She drove into the garage under her own power for the first time in 45 years!!!!!!!!!! She has issues galore but she moved. I need to pull the intake and carb off and replace the gaskets due to some vacuum leaks and install the 1/2" carb spacer. But it was so much fun driving her finally.

The shop I sent it too took about 3.5 hrs. to fix my goofs and generally get her running and charging. He gave me a list of things to do after I eliminate the vacuum leaks. But she runs really well for being set on rich and hi idle.

Congratulations!

I know that feeling, it is one of life's great moments...achieving a goal of getting something to work that has been neglected. I think we sort of assign  a personality to our cars and they become a center of focused feelings and that amplifies the sense of accomplishment. AWESOME!!!!

Great Y block sound !!!
the drip rails on the roof look super solid, compared to my wagons. The vintage roof rack fits the bill !
would love to see a total view pic of the wagon, now it can be driven in and out ! Inca Gold is a phenomenal 50s color.

This week I have some time off so I am going to work the engine over, change her oil and refill after the break in. Then back to the floor pans and welding. Thank you all, she does have a really great sound now and when I can slow her down it will be really great! Now I just want to driver her!!!!
