Air Cleaner colour

My air cleaner is silver grey , but the top piece that holds the filter in is the engine colour.
Should that part be the same colour as the air cleaner body?

The air filter housing and the top cover on both my previous and current 57 Fords were painted the same (argent silver) color.

Yes, the air cleaner is Ford Argent color.  As is the stone guard under the front grill and the power steering pump.  The best deal is VHS Ford Argent wheel paint.  The only thing different between regular spray paint and wheel paint is that the wheel paint is not supposed to chip as easy.  I use it and it works and looks great.
