Dave..sure couldn't set kids on a car hood of today's rides...they'd leave a "memory" wrinkle in the hood!

Grab a coffee, here is my story when I stopped in Pense, Saskatchewan.  About 30 years ago I was making a trip across Canada, it was the first of November and the first  Arctic storm had hit.  I had driven over 800 miles from Thunder Bay, it was minus 45 Fahrenheit and I was low on fuel.  Pulled up to the Pense Hotel, no front desk so I had to go in the bar, the bartender said they had 2 rooms, I gave him my VISA card and he said cash only.  I asked if the bulk station had diesel fuel and he did not know.  I made the decision to keep driving, 135 miles later I pulled into Swift Current after 20 hours on the road, it was now minus 48 Fahrenheit, I was very cold, hungry and super low of fuel but I got a room.  I emptied my pockets and found I still had the room key from Pense.  In all my travels I have never seen a joint with Room #1.  I still have the tag, it is on my 1951 Mercury grain truck that I bought in Saskatchewan.

Absolutely Beautiful!!!!
When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!

I kind of like the paint scheme! A subtle color matching.
