All great pics! obviously spent a few minutes doing some research, DJ, to figure out where that snowy downtown pic was taken. It's totally amazing the capabilities  the internet has brought us when we have the insight to use it.

Thanks guys.

I grew up in Atlanta, and believe these  are two photos of a car owned by Raymond Parks. Those that know the real history of NASCAR will recognize his name. Raymond was the money man that got NASCAR going. Once it was "established" Raymond was forced out of the NASCAR ownership. In reading a book about the early days of NASCAR, I learned about Raymonds' money man role and that he hired, back in the late 40's, early 50's, a driver to run moonshine from Dawsonville to Atlanta. That driver was the father of a kid I went to high school with.
I met Mr. Parks in 1970, as he owned a very nice Liquor Store on Peachtree Rd. in Atlanta. He was very direct, no small talk, kind of guy. Small world!

Great convertible racing pics! ^^^  I remember seeing a short clip of a '58 race where the manufacturers could use any engine available that their company produced. It showed a '58 Sunliner that I think was powered by a 430 Lincoln mill racing around the track! I wonder if there are any pics of that special race ??
