#1407   It looks like Natalie Wood's choice of a car was pretty good.
Yup. This '55 T-Bird is alleged to be Natalie Wood's 1st car.

Hey, if Ohio State Patrol can have rag tops, why can't LAPD have white walls, just saying?

If Natalie's first car was a 55 Tbird, that's OK also.

My how times have changed. Olympia Brewery has been gone now for over 40 years. The family member who was to take over got caught down by Capitol Lake in the bath house by cops being...well...less than correct in societal behavior. The family sold the brewery to the Pabst Brewery, which in turn was sold to Miller, which eventually closed it down.

In August of 1969 my father took us to Las Vegas for a Ford convention.  They introduced the Pinto and the Louisville, (I still have some memorabilia), Elvis was playing at the time and he came to the dinner, sang one song and invited the crowd to come to his show.  The highlight for me was during the show we heard a vehicle start up with open headers, I looked through the curtains and saw Big Oly being loaded onto a transporter.  My brother and I snuck through and went to watch the action.  They also had one of the Lemans GT40's there being loaded.  The Ford of USA dealers convention was prior to Ford of Canada and they got the race team.  ps I got to sit in the GT40.

The Big Oly Bronco also a had brief appearance in the original Gone In Sixty Seconds as one of the stolen vehicles. Parnelli Jones even had a cameo appearance played by himself of coarse. One thing I found interesting is the Big Oly was only 2-wheel drive.

"They introduced the Pinto and the Louisville"..........I've never heard of a "Louisville", what is it?

When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!
