that menu on the last drive-in makes my mouth water ! I'll take one each !
Hugh and Jim, did you see they have frosted root beer? at 15ct . I'll pay you both a double size ! :003:

we'd probably swallow our root beer floats though, if such a nice 34 cabriolet turned in these days...woah !

I did see that! All we have to d now is find a time machine to transport us back to those days eh?   :003:

It would be nice to see drive in's come back and lower gas prices. I spent many hours at the three Bob's we had.  OOPs I mean four, I forgot about the one in Pasadena. There is only one left in my area now.

I worked for a Bob's Big Boy for about 6 months in San Diego. Was on Sports Arena Blvd. across from the Midway Drive-in movie theater on Midway drive. (Bob's was in between Sports Arena and Midway.
Both are gone now...have been for ages. Our Bob's wasn't a drive-in though, it was a regular restaurant by then. Last one now (that I know of) are the Sonics, and they don't leave the tray anymore...just hand you the bags and leave. I miss the trays on the side of the car door. But I guess to many people were driving off with them so...no more.

I think the biggest issue for any chance of a Drive In is people today are always in a hurry, that why we have Drive Thru's today  :005: Our one last remaining Bobs in Toluca Lake is a still a drive in and still many Hot Rodders on Friday night.

Rich, do you remember Lorenzo's Drive In in Middleboro, MA? I know Jay will.   :003:

I remember driving out there in the late 70's-80's in my '74 Bronco and checking out all the Hot Rods. They still have a Cruise night up there.

When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!
