Nice pic. Don't see racers any more that work out of a van to get ready. Everything is so money heavy now.
That guy in the pic could be a young Gordon Chance... https://gordonchance.weebly.com/ not much has changed...he is still THAT kid. He isn't allowed to drive anymore...but he is still tinkering with and building cars near me in Sequim WA. Visiting him...is like listening to a history book talk!

Here goes your Sunday batch and what I was looking at, Castor is the Ford dealer delivering 7 new cars, Athabasca is a cool building with a F1 like mine, Barons 1 has the Ford sign hanging out front.

I did say reference, now known as spellcheck.
I have been reading that issue for 52 years and it was about 18 feet from my desk when I grabbed it.  And I am on page 46 looking at pictures of Hubert Platt's CobraJet and Dick Loehr's Mustang funny car now.  Just got called for pancakes so Adios.

1959 Meteor 2 door sedan , 428 Cobra Jet 4 speed. Been drag racing Fords (mostly FEs) 47 years and counting.
Previous 50s Fords include 57 Custom 4 door, 2 57 Ford Sedan Deliveries, 59  Country Sedan, and as a 9 year old, fell in love with the family 58 2 door Ranch Wagon.
