   That picture reminds me a lot of my youth because that's exactly how I fixed my cars in the old days growing up in Boston.
    I didn't have a garage so I fixed them on the sidewalk and did engine swaps in an ally.  Jay

I can relate to that. My garage was built for model A and the 57 didn't fit so work was in the alley outside :005:

    You really were a back alley fixer upper and you have the picture to prove it. I never thought of having a picture
taken.  Actually in those days, cameras cost money and then it cost money to have the film developed.  Just think, that white 57 in your picture was still a baby less than 10 years old.   Jay

I never took pictures of a lot of my cars back in those days. This one was taken by an aunt that was visiting. That picture was 1966 so I was 19. The car is actually a light blue model.

Notice they opened the window to make it more aerodynamic with high speed air flow.  Maybe there's a ski boat on that trailer, and the house landed on it perfectly during a hurricane?  What ever the real story is, that photo was taken pre photoshop.
