ISO of trunk latch mechanism.  The portion that bolts to the trunk lid.  If anyone has a spare that they are willing to part with, I'd appreciate it.

Did you ever find a trunk latch?

No, but I got my old one to work. I forgot about this post. Thank you for asking and nudging me to respond!

That's OK I bought 2 57 Custom 300 from 2 different junk yards one in Connecticut and 1 in Rhode Island. One was OK and needed a ton of body work floor pans a pillar inner trunk fender replacement. The second was for glass and any other parts I could get. The body # 2 has a lot more rust and unfortunately nobody makes a one piece floor pan for the 57 Fords.I just finished the body repairs on #1 and installed new body mounts. The body is OK and the front is getting new springs shocks and disc brakes this week!

An update on the trunk latch:  I decided to use the latch from a Ford Fusion.  It's power so no external power release required, just two wires.

That reminded me.......I have a never-opened box with a FORD trunk release adapter power kit. Saw it at a swap meet and couldn't resist, although I had already installed my generic solenoid.
Terry, you may want to think about adding an additional manual release cable in case the power one fails.

My buddy in TN turned his into a "power" release.  Very happy until....drove to a show, turned off the car, went in the hotel, registered, came back out to get their stuff, bead battery.  Ended up going through the back seat, borrowed 1/2" socket and five feet of 3/8" drive extensions to get in.  He now has a wire that hide behind the license plate!

I installed the trunk latch and have it aligned and working.  As far as the mechanical release, I ran that between the inner and outer panels the same with the electrical wiring.
