 Thank you kind sir
When I was 14 years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned 21, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last 7 years!

I used Aeroquip EZ clip hose and fittings. The hose is smaller, more flexible, and assembles with hand tools.

P.S. Joe everything you do is "spot-on".

The -8 straight fitting I've been waiting for, finally came in today so I was able to finish the AC lines:

Now I just need to find the time to get back to finishing the wiring....

just a tip.......before charging the system, check the shraeder valves in the fill fittings to make sure they are tight. When I put my system together, I wrongfully assumed the fittings I got with the valves installed would be tight. They were not. Took forever to find that leak because the caps were minimizing the bleed out.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

Thanks Rich, I'll probably pull a vacuum first to make sure all my connections are good.

I had forgotten about the vacumn leak test, I did do that too.

Funny thing, the vacuum will check OK but the system will still leak.  Seems like the suction pulls the valve closed, put gas in and they loose their grip.....don't ask me how I know this......yes, they had about a quarter to one third turn to seat properly.

Just an update, I haven't touched my car since my last post, been building an addition on my garage and working on the '62 Corvette.
