Man oh man does she look sweet!  I like the way you did the stripes too. Highlights that sharp belt-line.

REALLY REALLY pretty! You got done in a few days what would now take me a few months! Hopefully you'll get some nice driving weather soon. I's gonna be cooler here later this week, but it's been in the 70's for most of the past few weeks. This past Saturday, we had the biggest first-Saturday-of-the-month-cruise-in that I've seen in 4 or 5 years.

Thanks guys, but I don't think I'll be test driving until April the way things are going here with the weather....

When I was 14 years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned 21, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last 7 years!

Just an amazing job of restoring that beautiful car.  Thanks for sharing your progress over the past months.  I always looked forward to seeing the next steps as you progressed and everything that was done was first class professional.

Great Job,
Dave

Thank you so much Dave, it actually, really means a lot to me that you guys approve!

I know that there was a trim piece that went between the Package Tray and Sail Panel on the Sport Roof but couldn't find any pics on a Formal Roof, but I know I didn't like the open space:

So, after some searching, I found this stuff at my local Lowes:

It looks like it should work:

I cut it to length, hit it with a scuff pad and painted it with Trim Black and gave it shot...

I have plenty left over, so I might try cutting the back side and heating a piece up to go up to the back window down the road, but for now, I think it is acceptable.

For anyone interested, this is the description on the product, it was $3.48 for an 8' piece:

We have to be good at thinking outside the box. Yeah, it looks good!

Well, she moved under her own power today for the first time! I drove it off the lift and moved it outside so that the '62 could go on the lift:

As much as I wanted to take it for a spin, the roads are too wet and salt covered, so I washed it, trickle charged the battery and covered it:

With our forecast for Sunday, I doubt I'll be test driving it anytime soon

...and on top of 18-24" of snow, were expecting winds in the dangerous category:

With high winds and wet, heavy snow, I'm sure we'll have some major power outages too.

At least it's not FIRES!!! It's finally settling down a bit, but for 2 weeks we had 1-2 new fires starting around Amarillo every day. Burnt areas in every direction around Amarillo. I haven't heard about the Oklahoma fires today...hopefully they're getting a handle on them too.

We're looking at a high of 43* tomorrow...dry as a bone...roads are bare and salt free.
