I am doing a restoration on a 1957 Country Sedan,  I have removed the entire wiper and cable system and I also have a unit I cut out of a junker just so that this gets properly installed.  My question is about the cable material itself.  Is there a source for the original size cable so that I can put new cable in the system.  My cable appears to be OK, but I would be more comfortable with a new cable and the crimps for the ends of the cable.  Has anyone done this?

Just Google "custom wire rope and cable" there are companies that specialize in assemblies... Good luck and keep us posted!

I'm trying to remember the name of the company that made my e-brake cables, maybe "CONTROL CABLES"?. They possibly might already have the '57 wiper cables info.

I tried Control Cables, and sent them photos of the mechanism with the cable attached.  They did not get back to me.  I may try and make an in person visit to see if that stirs something up.  I am amazed at the complexity of this system.
