Hi Lou. I just need 2.
I'm up the road a bit from you in Waterbury. Thought I had your number in my phone but I don't.
I'd like to swing by tomorrow or wednesday and pick them up if that works for you.

Lou

Tomorrow I won't be here, give me a call maybe we can set something up for Wednesday or Thursday

They do fit if you use stock Ford disc brakes. My discs are from a Mustang, Fairlane and a probably a bunch of others that used the same calipers. My front wheels are from a 55-56 Ford. I think there 5" wide? Cant speak for the Wilwood stuff.
Is it just me, or are you contradicting yourself?
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

Not sure I understand. Lou stated that 56 Ford, 15 inch wheels wont fit over or work with disc brakes, and I said they will if you use stock Ford hardware.

OK, so before I order my TorqueThrust II one piece wheels, or Craggar S/S wheels...

* less backspace will move the wheel and inner-sidewall of the tire more outboard (closer to fender)?

* The cross tires section dimension will reduce about 2-tenths of an inch for every +/- 1" of wheel width.  This is assuming that the apprpriate recomended tire section width is used for the wheel to start with.  (i.e., wheel mfg says "use 8" tire").  Obviously, the most narrow wheel used for the coreosonding tire recomendation from the wheel mfr would be no change in cross section dimension.   Is this correct?

So far on my 57 the sidewall of the tire coming in to contact with the ball-joint seems to be the closest point that I need to consider.

I seem to be leaning to 15" Torque-Thrust II one piece for various reasons.   (VN 5155665)
