nice score John, is it an Oakville built car? I have owned 2 57 Ford Sedan Deliveries, both Oakville vehicles. Interesting that the Canadian Sedan Deliveries were not called "Couriers", as in the USA, rather the had "Sedan Delivery" scripts on the front fenders. I have not been able to post photos from my phone on this site, but I will send you a FB message with a photo on my 57 SD with the Sedan Delivery emblem. as for the rear glass, the center piece is flat, I never tried it, but I wonder if a regular station wagon liftgate window glass could be successfully cut to make the 3 windows for a Delivery. Curious which version of tailgate support your 57 has. Both of mine had a track and roller arrangement on the passenger side, but I have seen some that used an overcenter lever setup on the drivers side.

Previous 50s Fords include 57 Custom 4 door, 2 57 Ford Sedan Deliveries, 59  Country Sedan, and as a 9 year old, fell in love with the family 58 2 door Ranch Wagon.

Hey Rory
The car is up at Frank's,I haven't had a chance to really have a good look at it yet,I'm going up on the 23rd.
Steele Rubber makes a one piece gasket for the tailgate so I just need a piece of flat glass.
I'll post more pics when I get there
Btw I sold my Ranchero to make room

Hey Rory
Mine has the overcentre spring lever but I think Its missing an external spring that holds it straight when the the gate is open.
Its a pretty solid car,Frank had worked on it a few years ago it was in Clinton for a while.
The engine is a 390 but thats coming out as the cost of gas as you know is ridiculous,so Im looking for a 302/351w

I would guess it would be cheaper to leave the 390 in there than the cost of changing everything over to a smallblock.

Or a swap to a 332,352 or 360 would be easier and cheaper. Just say'n ...

Ron.

My 390 will have a 406 Tri-power. I will be using throttle-body type FI on it.
I also have a 65 New Yorker that will probably get same thing. A bit better fuel economy and less aggravation starting. Just tossing the info out there FWIW.

I'm truly impressed that the floor is intact and not rusted out. Amazing!

Looks like they've already been partially replaced judging by the tack welds and the overlapped sheet metal on the drivers side front. Original color is seafoam green?

John, do you have the storage compartment that would have been behind the front seat? It is a sheetmetal "box" welded to the body, with 2 hinged plywood lids.

You are correct! I made my comments after a very quick look. Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa.
