I have been speaking with Jay(Ecode) and Gary(Fordaholic) about a car that has come up on Kijiji(Canadian Craigs List)
A very rare 1957 Niagara 300- Canadian model only.....
I believe this car is a extreme great example of a vehicle not seen today.Yes,... you can find 1957 Meteors in the bigger 500 series... like a Fairlane... (but not so much in the 300 series)
Gary has been speaking with the owner. a very nice gentleman...... the paint is a 40 year job.... but from looking at it its pretty complete car.....
I think its an an outstanding piece and I know its super rare..... the trim alone would be very hard to find as well as the unique cresting and badging.

The price is the best part..... up here.. the price of the car is about the same price for bodywork and paint.

No. I simply don't want the car.. I have 2 57's and a 32... and sold a 32 coupe... I just don't have the room or want the extra costs in keeping a treasure like this.

But it sure is perfect.

The Poverty caps are not correct..Obviously.... I have a pair of Meteor caps for that car..... I have found in my travels.... but to find a full set would be difficult and $$$$.
I really love this car.....

The RCMP and OPP used these are pursuit vehicles back in the day.

Somebody needs to grab that quick! Beautiful car aside from it's uniqueness. Thanks for posting, Jeff.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

Car that nice and rare should be left as is. I don't have the room for it.

Wow, that's a nice looking car and not a bad price.

A buddy of mine in British Columbia has a similar 57 Meteor Niagara 300 2 door sedan, also black, but a 6 cylinder 3 speed with Overdrive trans. It has been sitting outside for many years, not sure if Garry would sell it, or how bad it is now, but it has all all the unique Meteor trim.
1959 Meteor 2 door sedan , 428 Cobra Jet 4 speed. Been drag racing Fords (mostly FEs) 47 years and counting.
Previous 50s Fords include 57 Custom 4 door, 2 57 Ford Sedan Deliveries, 59  Country Sedan, and as a 9 year old, fell in love with the family 58 2 door Ranch Wagon.

That certainly is a beautiful car.  There can't be very many of them still around. I don't care if it has the right hubcaps or not.  Jay

Looks very nice. It will no doubt be a head turner when finished.

Jeff,is the front end sheet metal all lined up and the gaps set? I ask, as I would like to know the measurement of the gap between the leading edge of the hood, and the panel just below the hood that has the 4 letters on it.
Thanks
John
