I'm so surprised to have just now read Jeff Norwell's 'Dirty Bird' article in HOT ROD magazine!  The magazine arrived the day before VACA and I'm just now getting caught up.  Even though it is quite unusual to see an article about an unfinished car in HOT ROD, I am so pleased to see a build article and pictures from OUR Jeff Norwell...congratulations!!  Not only being an accomplished illustrator but also published...does this mean we will be calling him DR. JEFF.  Congratulations Jeff, it is always great to have your work recognized!

Jeff Norwell

Thanks Gary!

I was quite surprised as well!. and thanks for the very kind words!

Jeff

Would someone please post what issue has Jeff's 57 Ford in it.
Or maybe you can post a picture of the cover of the magazine.  I want to look for that issue.
Thanks  Jay

Wow, all those e-bay folks don't know they can get 12 issues in their mailboxes for $19?

I HATE reading magazines on-line. To me...they belong in my hand.. :001:

Shame the HotRodMag chev geeks don't know 428's never came with 2bl carbs or 427's with shortie iron headers.  We must educate the dullard chev masses!  LOL!

Never was a Hot Rod mag fan. For the very reason that they are so biased to the bow-tie.
I used to take Street Rodder...miss that mag still to this day.

Me too on Street Rodder.  I only get HotRod because it and the three Hemmings mags are the only ones left to buy.

Ron.

I have to agree... I was a die hard R&C reader.... and
The Rodders Journal too.
Unfortunately R&C and Streetrodder were killed a slow death in part due to the internet and such. They readership died off because you could get instant gratification online. All magswere all bought by big corps. and then swallowed by bigger corps.... the bottom line was sales... and lack of it.
the giant Corps. only see a profit line.
The insane rising cost of paper, manufacturing, shipping all were factors in there slow death.

I believe the 10 Group(motor trend group) had 22 mags and now has 3?
Motor Trend is owned my Discovery and Discovery is owned by a bigger fish.

It's a very sad state.

I cannot and will not read a magazine on the computer. It is not natural. And I don't care how good the chair is, my computer will never have a comfortable enough seat to make me want to sit there and read on-line. And I hate sitting on the recliner with a computer. My eyes do not like screen glare. I WANT magazine. If they want my money, then they need to give me what I want...or I keep the money.
