Painting centers of dogdish hubcaps

I wonder if they used some kind of a stencil to paint the centres? Whatever the process was it would have to be an efficient way to paint hundreds of thousands of hubcaps through the years.

So...since you are in that world...have always wondered...is that bow they paint those cars you design that are more than one color? I have to believe there is a way they do those that is fast, right?

Well it's a combination of common parts.  On little Christmas trees that spin and sprayed really fast.  The art on the sides is more akin to silkscreening. Which might be a way to do the caps also.
