I am finishing up 2 jobs for Galpin right now..I will be seeing the guys when i head to GNRS in a few weeks.
I'll ask.

They have some Killer cars and a big Roth Collection, my buddy Dave Shutin is a big driving force there.

I tried doing a little searching and found a Galpin in Arizona, don't know if the two are associated.

Not my cup of tea . I dont mind some of them but the straight axle makes them look like a 4x4 in my book . Im ok with them being altered wheel base though .

I am the opposite.I love a well balance PROPER stances Gasser. Not them street Freaks that started in the early 70's.
On the other hand,I really dislike altered wheelbase cars,Looks like a dog with it's ass kicked in.

When you are out West for the GNRS & Galpin, will it be possible for Rick and I and maybe some other Club members to meet with you sometime/place.  How long will you be out here, as the GNRS is January 24-26, 2014.  I'm hoping to have my 57 back together by that time after cleaning up and painting the rear frame, springs, differential, CalTracs and installing rear disc brakes at Rick's place starting tomorrow.

Great.  Sorry to hear about Detroit FUBAR.  Sounds a bit like what Rick and I discovered yesterday when we pulled the rear end out of my 57.  I had bought the Big Bearing 9" Ford Rear Disc Brake kit from ABS Power Brakes a year ago and we discovered that my 57 has the "small bearing" setup.  On Monday I'll be going to ABS to see if I can exchange my "big bearing" kit for their "small bearing" kit.  Too bad I waited a full year to install the rear discs.  Oh well.

Rancheros and station wagons had the larger rear bearings.
