engine re install

I know a guy who works rebuilding/installing transmissions.  He happened to stop by one day as I was going to install the converter into a trans.  He showed me that the nose of the converter, that goes into the front seal, had a sharp edge and that I should lightly file it so as not to cut the newly installed front seal.
