RICH MUISE

I'm sure you're aware that the bumper brackets have to get sandwiched between the frame and new sway bar bracket.   On the Hamb, Bob396 posted some pics of his '59 on your build thread where he had the bumper brackets mounted outside of the sway bar brackets....not sure how/why he did that
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

Very aware.
But at the sake of getting knee-capped Rich... we are far away from that point at this time.

Considering that 59 Fords were the first year that used a front sway bar with end links and rubber bushings on the frame that the sway bar pivots in, I wonder if those plates bolted to the frame rails are needed. On my 59, the frame bushings and mounts bolt directly to the bottom of the frame rail, like most later cars did. Curious if the lower control arms needed to have the holes for the end links drilled , or were they already there. With that aftermarket sway bar, it appears to have the front a fair bit further forward than my 59, wondering if it is visible from the side or the front. On the 59, you only notice the front sway bar if you look under the car, but I have seen some aftermarket sway bars on 57 Fords that were quite noticeable from the side.

The holes in the lower A arms are already there. I know my bar is quite noticeable from the front and side.

I raised my bar up by simply re-drilling the holes. I also tried to use a '59 bar but it wouldn't clear the lower a arms

58 Edsel Ranger and Pacer used a sway bar that mounted on the frame and hit the holes in the lower arm perfect.  Put one on my Ranchero.
