Chrome Polish

When my Dad passed away, this can (and I mean a metal can) of chrome polish was in a cabinet in the garage.

Anyone ever use this?   As old as it is any opinion as to it being safe to use?   Sometimes those older products are better.  I mean look how motor oil has been cheapened up.

I clean my grill at least 1 x per yr with chrome polish, and a soft bristle toothbrush.

For old, beat-up chrome, probably won't hurt.  According to the re-chrome guys, anything with 'polish' or 'cleaner' in the title has some pumice or grit which will micro scratch plated surfaces.  I've used paste wax or a show shine produce for years.  I use Wizard Bug Release on the bumper, grill and paint to rinse off the bugs and apply a coat of Johnson's Paste Wax.
