turn signals

ok,  i painted the steering wheel,   got in a hurry and forgot to look at the back of the wheel when i took it off,  now i can't get my turn signals to work,    anyone out there know how to do it??,  thanks   jerry

Jerry do they not blink or just don't cancel?  I assume a stock 57 wheel and column?

i thought everyone might like a update,    like they say 2 heads r better then one,   anyway i had a friend over and we looked at the problem,   and i'll make this short,   the whole signal unit inside the steering wheel is held in place with a bolt,    all i had to do was tighten it,  end of problem,   it was just loose,  what i thought was normal was really (loose) sometimes things just don't click,   thanks for any output,   jerry
