I need to replace headlites. Can you replace with standard hi-lo beam 3 prong or is there something better I could do.

The "new" head lights are seal beam halogen.  They are much brighter then the "old" standard sealed beam.  The halogen bulbed reflector style will require a modification to the lighting circuit.  You will need to install relays to provide power to the bulbs.  The relay armeture is fed from the hi/low switch, the power for the bulb is from the battery through the contacts to the bulb.  Both Painless and Ron Frances supply a kit to do this with very good instructions.
