Just wondering if anyone has used the Y-Block to AOD or other similar kits?  I am interested in the quality and fit.  I have looked at Bendtsen's and Wilcap's.  I am leaning towards the Wilcap.  It looks a little better designed.

I would like to hear your experiences on these kits.  Not hear say, actual experience, good or bad.

Thanks

Installed an AOD in my 55 bird 6 or 7 years ago.  Simple to install, works perfectly.  If I wasn't putting a 5 speed in my 57 I'd to the AOD again in a heart beat.

Do both of those kits use a spacer between the crank and flwheel, and adapt it to the 5.0 style bolt pattern?  I know one does, not sure about the other.  I was looking into one kit that allows you to use any Ford SBF trans, manual or automatic, and I had considered it, to get the benefit of a cheap SBF scattershield...Just wondering about the strength of the components.
