source for door bumpers

Oddly enough, one of the parts a few of us have had trouble finding is the door bumper that goes in the top and bottom of the door jamb. I found some that work...appear to be the same although I don't know for sure what the thickness is on '57 oem parts. These are eyeballing about 3/8 thick, 5/8 dia, and fit nicely. I got them at the Socal shop in Phoenix, and they are sold for chev trucks, so anyplace selling chev stuff should have them if your not near a Socal shop. Socal adds a "COU-" in front of the manufacturer's part number.
I might add I noticed alot of the moulded rubber parts at socal were a much cleaner molding than the grommets, plugs and whatnots we get from Dennis Carpenter. Petty, I know, but it irritates me to get rubber parts with all kinds of slag hanging off them.

I just bought some from Concours Parts.   They were out of stock for a long while.    I think the number was 4258-AU, 52/59 Rubber Bumper Push In.

They are exact repo's of what you are looking for. $3.00 a pop.

Thanks Pat....I had looked thru their new catalg and didn't see them..good to know they carry them. What is the thickness of the oem parts? I just measured the Chev ones I picked up and they are .590 Dia x .250 thick.

I had to look in a real old Concours catalog to get the number, but I just kept checking until the last order they had them.
I called in the order so I could tell them I needed them.   They are kinda cone shaped on the top.
