Filler Neck Gasket...Where do I get one?

While filling up with gas about a month ago I sprung a leak and had to have the car towed home.  I just got around to looking at it and the leak was where the filler neck fits into the tank.  The gasket is dry rotted and needs to be replaced. I have included links to pictures below. Any suggestions where I can locate a replacement?

Donny, check with any of the major parts guys. I got mine at either dearborn classics, concours or dennis carpenter./ or obsolete classic parts. You can find the links in our parts suppliers section. Get on there catalog program, you'll need it.  Mark

It's just an O ring isn't it?

Shopratwoody is correct if its a wagon its the same as a ranchero which uses a rubber o-ring in the groove of the filler tube that slips into the snout of the tank.

I called around and found a Ford dealership in Iowa that carried the part.  It is part number 370322S92 and yes it is an O-ring, but the material needs to be fuel resistant.  Klimesh Motor Sales is the name of the place and their number is 1-800-728-1913 or 563-562-3241.  They apparently stock lots of old Ford parts and they are cross referenced with Dearborn Classics who did not have the part, but directed me to them.  Really nice helpful people. 

The wagon is back on the road again. Now I just need to fix the fuel gauge, rear end leak, oil leak, power steering leak, raditor leak, radio, dome light ..... you get the idea.

cobraffr: man... you have the identical issues with your tank that i have! even having it over flow and waiting for the tow truck for 2-1/2 hrs. and i have been looking for that damn o-ring for a week. i will call these people. it should be alot of fun getting the neck back in the tank huh? dennis carpenter did not even show on his inventory. i`ve got a `57 ford sedan delivery/ former los angeles coroners wagon.  has anyone found a place that sells the upper gasket that fits arond the neck at the top of the filler for a sedan delivery? manhattan beach ca. cowabunga!!!

i got one at the farm equipment store....  it was a massy fergiuson(sp)....tractor part...i dont have the part number anymore...  but it should not be tough for a parts guy to find!

Steve I have an extra Oring.  I usally mess up the first installation so I bought a spare.  Check your email.

I finally gave up on fixing things myself.  The wagon breaks down faster than I can fix things.  I have a local shop working on it and they have updated the ignition and carb along with fixing all the leaks.  I am also having them install Vintage Air.  Miserable hot here in Houston during the summer and I want to enjoy the car.  Not crazy about the look of the AC compressor in the engine bay and also had to switch out to a modern alternator.  I should have the car back in a couple weeks.

The place working on it is in Rosehill on FM 2920 and Cypress Rosehill. The place is called Angel's and I am working with Chris.  Doing good work so far but there have been some chips and scratches in the engine bay. Nothing huge but a little bit of a concern. Mechanical work complete. Putting in A/C and fixing gauges.

It is really hard to find a place willing to work on old or unique cars. I have been looking for a while and tried a couple other places. The bulk of their work is Hot Rods.
